To be honest, I think a rather similar result would be possible also in my country, with all the hysteria around mass migration. In general, I think this is one of the main reasons for the restriction of universal suffrage. As schooling (in all of First World except the USA) is free and mandatory, there should be a "general knowledge quiz" before your poll. If you don't answer correctly to a large majority of the questions, your vote doesn't matter.
